Munay Garden

Munay Garden is a medicinal herb garden and wellness project. Munay was planted in the spring of 2022 by Flor. After losing her childhood home in a fire and a friend to alcoholism that spring, her grief was enormous. She realized Pachamama was the only being capable of holding her and the entirety of her pain. Since then, Munay (love in Quechua) Garden has been dedicated to being a space for displaced Afro- Indigenous Latines to gather and be held. Munay holds space for herbs to be harvested in ceremony and processed into medicine; education on the healing properties of our plant allies; movement and breathing classes which guide us back into our bodies. Munay Garden distributes tea, tinctures, salves, and other herbal remedies to those impacted by the violence of colonial borders.
